found this in adage this week. love the visualization. one of the criticisms was that radio pm drive was combined with tv prime access. my current professional role is evolving, and i am expanding into traditional media, so i have some work to do on forming my opinion on this criticism.

how to start your new analyst
let's say it's time to onboard a new analyst! this is a time that allows us in the digital analytics space to reflect upon the basics, laying bare the roots of what we do. we have an opportunity to shape the new, to invigorate our team with what lays inherent to our digital medium, and to stress that it is constantly evolving. as should we be, as well.
there are, of course, varying degrees of freshness in a new analyst. there are those for whom this may be a first job out of college, there are those who have analytical or quantitative backgrounds from other experience, and there are those who come with marketing or advertising knowledge yet without an analytical focus. so there's not really a one-size-fits-all onboarding regimen. but a reading list is a great place to start.
do you remember what you were thinking about when you started your first few jobs? sometimes it's nice to stop meeting new faces, stow away, and read for a little bit.
